On the Occasion of YOOM-E-TASEES of Pakistan Peoples party i Want to tell you something about my love for Bhutto. Lets Have a cursory glance on it........ My romance with Zulfiqar Bhutto dates back to the days when i was a lad of 7 yrs,and listen to his exploits while sitting on my fathers lap. my father never mentioned the word BHUTTO.he told me about a king,who was charismatic and beloved of his people,and how his subjects had been happy under his just rule. ALAS...! the king was overthrown by his handpicked general,in collusion with a malicious scheming team of puritan clerics...and ultimately killed.but nature has strange ways of dispensing justice.the tyrant general(who had then become the ruler) died in an accident,and people relived from his pharoaic rule.later it was the princess(the daughter of the martyred king),who assumed her fathers seat.it was my favourite story.the more i listened to this story,the more i wanted to meet that king,see him in his fiery eyes,and listen to his soul stirring speeches.but as i grew up,i realized that it wasnt just a story.it had played out in the real world,years before i had been born.it was then i understood my fathers wisdom behind concealing the real names in his story.those characters had always been around me. the king-ZULFIQAR ALI BHUTTO, wicked general ZIA-UL-HAQ, PRINCESS-MOHTARMA BENAZIR BHUTTO, i didnt have to try to love him.it was just that i had always loved him.later,as reason came to me.that love was fortified with a missionary spirit to devote myself to BHUTTOS cause.my friends called it a youthful fancy.one that fades with the passage of time.but with each passing day.that romance intensifies.to this day he continues to occupy me.And,there is so much that im indebted to him for.
