On the Senate floor HB-1176 passed, extending the frequency that the State Auditor is to audit the motor vehicle emissions program from 3 to 5 years. Sen. Balmer and I expressed concern that this sends a message that we are satisfied with the program. We are not and beleive the program should be cut back or eliminated. The vote was all Democrats supporting the bill and most of the Republicans voting no.
