On the anniversary of the Marikana massacre, we pay tribute to the leftist - working class that have been met by ruthless thugs on the 16th of August 2012 in South Africa and which culminated into carnage of over thirty martyrs that protested for what befitted them. We are reminded also of the continuing plight of the Namibian worker who continues to be exploited by the capitalist pigs here at home, just to collect the crumbs left by the masters commanding the means of production. The Marikana martyrdom has not been in vain. The Namibian and indeed the African worker draws inspiration from the Marikana martyrs in pursuit of what befits them in the face of labour injustices particular toward miners, farm workers and domestic workers. The youth shall continue to be the vanguard against neo-liberal approaches which only stand to benefit the minority few and shall forever demand of a socialist approach to benefit the masses. It is my hope their spirits have been guided well by our ancestors. R.I.P
