On the #appstate campus in #NorthCarolina, part of the on-going #Ferguson, #ericgarner,#michaelbrown , #policestate, #protests that are sweeping colleges worldwide. Students involved in the protests chose to protest at various locations around campus, including in the main dining hall. The reactions to the protest were mixed--some people vocally supported it, some had no idea what it was about, and there were, unfortunately, a few students who expressed rude and vulgar views about it. Students from every political spectrum (liberal, anarchist, libertarian, conservative, and more) and every ethnicity and many majors (including Criminal Justice Majors) have gotten involved in this protest--they continue to unite, and to speak up against the growing #PoliceState. These students have stood up even when some of their fellow students and professors told them to stand down...despite the peer pressure to stay silent, they are MAKING THEIR VOICE HEARD. Not all of the protesters agree on every aspect of the rallies--some dont agree with the #Ferguson protests, but all agree that the #EricGarner case needs #JUSTICE; some protesters are future #LawEnforcementOfficers who feel like the #Police should change the way things are done; ALL of the protesters believe that the #PoliceState is getting out of hand. These students should remind you what your focus needs to be on: ENDING THE POLICE STATE Wither youre a #Patriot, #Militia, #IIIPercenter, #Anonymous, or just an every day #citizen...wither youre white or black or Asian or any other race... WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER.
