On the blog today: What a Family Photography Short Story looks like with me. But first - OK. Think about this. You LOVE your husband and child(ren). But how do you get professional images of them looking naturally happy and not nervous? Personally, I feel sooo self-conscious when I have to stand in front of a camera and smile on purpose. So its really hard for me to do that with other people. It even makes me nervous as the photographer! Instead, my approach is just to get to know you a bit, then hang out with you, and just kind of observe you and with your family, doing your thing, something fun and adventurous or just at home for a couple hours. The Wartmans went apple picking together! A short story is supposed to be for just 20 images, but they wound up with 90. Oops... ;) I couldnt help it! We were having so much fun! (Im booked for the rest of the year and most of summer is already spoken for as well, and January just booked, but you can book Feb, March, April, or May with me. Snow months are *perfect* for in-home sessions because of the low sun and bright reflections of light into your home from the snow.)
