On the bright side, people will actually be able to drive in Providence tomorrow (although Im afraid parking at RIC will NOT be improved by the Presidential visit cancellation). And while my 07-08 class at RIC (when I was Student Body President) can still be known as the one that had a future U.S. president on campus, I suppose this class will be known as the one who had the President cancel on them the night before. Not cool... Really, though, I wonder if hell reschedule once he gets a grip on the Ebola situation? Or was this a one-shot deal? It still would have been a significant occurrence to have a sitting president visit Rhode Island College - such a visit does add prestige to what is an often underrated but excellent higher education institution. Time will tell.
