On the eve of 23 years ago today, Bryan and I were playing the card game Euchre in front of the fireplace in Colorado Springs with dear friends Kay and Carey. We didnt finish the game since I was having regular contractions even though it was 10 days before my due date. Bryan and I headed up to then Air Force Academy Hospital and the next day, Daniel was born. It was extremely cold the first two weeks afterward, so we didnt go out much. Then Desert Storm kicked off 6 1/2 weeks later and Bryan and I worked rotating shifts handing off Daniel between us as we each got off of a 12-hour shift. Many things have changed over these 23 years. So proud of Daniel for finishing strong graduating college this year, working in Oregon, and still continuing to cheer on his AZ Wildcats. Hope his birthday is full of wonderful surprises and joy. Much love from AZ dear son.
