On the eve of my favorite holiday, I reflect on the events of the past 11 months. We have experienced heartbreak, heartache, fear of the unknown. Weve handled medical issues; seizures, brain tumors and brain surgeries. Weve handled the frustration in having a drivers license suspended because of the medical issues, and the joy of getting it back. Weve handled the loss of life of someone dear. Weve survived the telephone call telling us our son is being transported to the emergency room because of another seizure on his way home from work (on a motorcycle no less) and the anger and disappointment of losing a license, yet again. Weve managed through business complications, loss of income and depression. A crazy roller coaster ride to say the least. But as we ease into the holiday season and prepare for a family gathering, the one thing that has stayed a constant is the love and support of family and friends. For that, we are thankful. We wish everyone a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving Day and ask that you, too, be thankful for the life you live regardless of the bumps or potholes you have encountered on the road. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
