On the football field there is a white line 3 yards behind the out of bounds line. During a play all coaches, players and team personnel are to be behind that line...its for when players are knocked out of bounds or refs running the sidelines there are no collisions with those on the sidelines ..its called safety......tonight 8th FB game....Shawnee.....Coach has been there 30 years. Last year I was on their sideline and the very 1st play of the game....he was standing right beside me. I told him twice to move back...he did not....I threw a flag. It cost them a 15 yard run and 5 yard penalty. He was livid and mad at me the rest of the game. Tonight I walk to his sideline. He ask do I have ....I said Yep......( This is the neat part )....He gathers his assistant coaches and in front of them asked me Do you remember what you did to me last year..? Yep....very first play I threw a flag on your head coach...cost your team 5 yards......He looks at his assistants and says When this guy says get back and off the field...get back and off the field... he smiles...we shook hands....he says... I crowd the sidelines every game...sometimes to see if anyone will penalize me you are the only to throw a flag... no problems on my sideline....
