On the insistence of Shannon and Sam, I finally sat down to watch A Series Of Unfortunate Events and do you know what? It aint half bad. Sure the special effects are a bit wobbly at times and the kid actors are pretty bland at time but the film is held together thanks to Jim Carreys hilariously eccentric performance as the diabolical Count Olaf and the reliable supporting cast which features cinema stalwarts such as Dustin Hoffman, Timothy Spall and Billy Connolly as well as (a mad as box of frogs) Meryl Streep.
