On the jihady mindset of Islamic extremists: A number of studies have been done on jihadists and one thing thats clear is its not a mental health disorder-- theyre not crazy, theyre not part of some cult. We tend to think of them as sort of suicidal fanatics, as people who have some kind of problem with their identity and somehow are brainwashed. What I would say is its less like becoming a suicidal fanatic and more like becoming a Jedi warrior. --James Mitchell
