On the last day and hour of November I want to finish the month - TopicsExpress

On the last day and hour of November I want to finish the month with Thanksgiving. 2014 has been quite the year and in my nights of reflection I enjoy memories of my mother and grandmother. Deborah Morton Little was the epitome of a dedicated mother. She raised a son plagued with heart issues that required surgery, a son she birthed at 16 living in subsudized housing and nieces and family members who dealt with substance abuse. The love and knowledge she gave to me is everlasting. Her first son is a man I am thankful for in my life. In my fathers absence he was the surrogate for discipline. On Davids stomach reads Bottom Boy. His criminal record tells the story of a heroine dealer, and gang member. In my dark moments imprisoned he was the voice I listened to when I felt thug life was my life. The birth of his two sons I watched him transform not only into a good father but a model citizen that I now to wanted to be like in my life. When my son was born on February 11, 2009 I had already aspired to not only model his patriarchal relationship but better. As my son gets older I get emotional when I watch his qualities of intelligence, love of me. and humor he exhibits. For these three family members I live, love and strive to make them proud. #thanksgiving2014
