On the move… The Dining Rooms at Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club, has welcomed new executive chef, Thomas Gardner, who plans to create a dining experience with each dish telling a story of Manchester and the north west. Hailing from Fallwood, Lancashire, and learning his craft in Preston, Gardner plans to develop a menu for Worsley Park that tells a story of the region’s history, culture and produce. After his classical training in Preston, Gardner started his career 17 years ago at the Marriott in Preston where he quickly grew from apprentice to senior sous chef. Having remained with Marriott kitchens throughout the majority of his career, Gardner has built a reputation for himself having most recently appeared as a guest chef at the Bolton Food Festival. He adds: “The chance to work with such an amazing team at Worsley Park was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.” International real estate advisor Savills has expanded its building consultancy team with the appointment of Robin Grimshaw, who will be based at the firm’s Booth Street office in Manchester.
