On the night Jesus was born, most of mankind never knew of His entrance into this world. Except for a few shepherds, family members, an inn owner there was not much notice amongst the rest of the world for the birth of the King. Jesus birth was barely noticed until years later, after His death, and resurrection. His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection, His ascension changed everything for the 33 years He spent here amongst His life impacted everyone. Jesus had a greater purpose than to be celebrated as a baby, He came to set us free from sin and death, to bring truth and freedom to all who will believe. Christmas is a time we celebrate His birth, but it is not the day of His birth, everyday we should celebrate why He came, how He came, why He lived, how He lived, and know the grave is empty and one day He will return for us, lets live as if today could be that day. John 18:33-37 HCSB Then Pilate went back into the headquarters, summoned Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews? ” Jesus answered, “Are you asking this on your own, or have others told you about Me? ” “I’m not a Jew, am I? ” Pilate replied. “Your own nation and the chief priests handed You over to me. What have You done? ” “My kingdom is not of this world,” said Jesus. “If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. As it is, My kingdom does not have its origin here.” “You are a king then? ” Pilate asked. “You say that I’m a king,” Jesus replied. “I was born for this, and I have come into the world for this: to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice.”
