On the night of the 20th January at approximately 22:30hrs on Jurby Avenue, Higher Blackley, an elderly vulnerable lady heard noises in her loft and went to investigate. On her way she encountered a male in the hall way, she calmly asked him why he was in her house and asked him to leave. The male then left her address empty handed. The lady quickly called a neighbour for support who then notified the Police. The male is described as White, Small build, Approximately 40 years old, wearing blue overalls. If you witnessed or have any information regarding this incident please call us on 101. Crimes against elderly can be very distressing. Keep an eye out for the welfare of your neighbours. If you spend a lot of time at home your watchfulness can be invaluable to your community. Make sure you report any suspicious behaviour to the Police at once.
