On the night of the infamous OJ White Bronco chase, I was on a movie junket in L.A. Actually, I had been there since the previous weekend, so by sheer happenstance, I was there to follow local news reports over the period of a week that charted, step by step, OJs devolution from grieving ex-husband to prime suspect. The weird thing is, the chase was visible on TV screens on the bus that brought us from our hotel to the junket screening of -- no joke -- The Shadow with Alec Baldwin.
