On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, the Embassy of the Netherlands organized a screening of the movie Dangerous Acts Starring the Unstable Elements of Belarus and discussion in the Red House Centre for Culture And Debate in Sofia . In his introduction Ambassador Tom van Oorschot focussed on the universal human rights and its strong commitment of the Netherlands to protect human rights defenders around the world. He also touched upon the importance of the freedom of expression - the main issue reflected in the movie. The screening does not intend to point at a certain country, but to create awareness and motivation. The Ambassador expressed the support of the Dutch Embassy to the Red House in their struggle to keep the ‘doors open’ and remain a cradle of free speech, cultural and debates centre, as well as a home of various organisations.
