On the other side of the storm! Sooner or later we have to see beyond the storm and the battle. Its been preached to death because somebody is always in a battle or a storm. We can go in just about any church and preach about battles and storms and feel like we have accomplished the will of God. But somehow we have to rise high enough to see beyond the storm to the loosing of the man in the Gaderenes. The disciples went through the storm but the storm and all its nuances was not the main point of aim in the mind of God. It was a morning sunrise shining on a ship coming into harbor with Jesus standing in the bow and a maniac looking longingly for someone who wanted to do more than bind him and hide him away from view. Thats all he had experienced for a long, long time. But on the morning after the storm passed his ship came in! The day after the storm was a day of loosing and setting free a poor man that had been driven from his home and away from his family and all that was familiar to him. Demons had been his companion and graves his pillow. They had thrown him into the fire and into the sea but something kept him climbing back up to live another fitful day. What kept him going with 6000 devils living within him? Hope! Thats why there were so many in one single man. Trying to kill the glimmer of hope that kept bubbling up again and again. But though he was helpless he was not hopeless. And Jesus refused to let him live another day or cry another night. No! It might be on the other side of a storm but Jesus was going to set him free! So look higher preacher! Look beyond the storm and battle theme and see if theres not a world waiting for someone with a word of faith to set them free! There will no doubt be days ahead for another message about a storm or a battle. But just maybe...just maybe...theres another chapter in that message to be preached! On the other side of my storm is a move of God that will set someone free! I could just about get excited about this storm Im in right now because I know that at least on one night the storm was nothing but a prelude to a maniac being set free! Blessings!
