On the outside looking in, Like a fish with just one fin With - TopicsExpress

On the outside looking in, Like a fish with just one fin With gill pressed against the pane Of a fish tank just so plain… On the outside, looking in, Left apart from all the din… Should it not be thought a sin To be left out peeking in? On the outside, looking in, Like a voyeur, peeking sin; Always feeling very wrong, Never feeling very strong. “World, I beg, open your door! Let me too, walk on your floor! Do you think I am a fool Left outside the world to drool? Don’t you think it is unjust Leaving me outside to lust, Thirsting through the window pane, When my wants are very plain?” All the world is watching me! God had listened, heard my plea. Finally, I am inside- No one e’er from me to hide! Now all life is peeking in; Ne’er mind me, ne’er mind the din. I still feel not more than then; Matters not, not looking in. On the inside, looking out; How I long to jump and shout And not by e’eryone be heard- Just by God, God of the Word. Just a fish within a bowl… Still not feeling very whole; Fins all grown and gills submerged; Heart still shriveled, not emerged.
