On the road update for 29 Sep 13 – 1 Oct 13. Left the TA Travel Center, Ontario, CA @ 1:45 AM PDT going to Ralphs & Food for Less Distr Center in Riverside, CA for a 3 AM delivery. Got into the unloading/loading dock @ 3 AM. They got done unloading @ 5:10 AM. Ralphs told Steven that they were backed up getting the paper work done for all the deliveries for that morning. Sat in the staging area until 6:10 AM, when Ralphs finally got paper work done. Left Ralphs and headed back to the TA in Ontario, Got back to the TA and parked, and the pre plan was canceled that Steve had, Stevens Transported called him, and told him to go to the Stevens Transport yard in Colton, about 10 miles away for a repower, picked up the repower trailer and headed back to the TA in Ontario. Back to the TA, parked and done for the day @ 10:30 AM. The repower load is going to Albertsons Distr Center in Brea, CA, for Monday (30 Sep 13) morning 3 AM delivery. Left the TA @ 1; 20 AM 30 Sep 13, Got to Brea, CA, Albertsons @ 2; 00 AM, the gate was closed, doesn’t open until 2:30 AM. We are the 8th truck in line on the road outside the gate. Albertsons opened the gate at 2:30 AM, and we moved into the staging area (which only holds 20 trucks at a time). We moved into the unloading dock at 3 AM, we had to go to 2 different unloading docks, because some dumb shift driver took the dock that Albertsons assigned Steven to unload in. The Dumb Shift messed up Steven and 2 other drivers who were also unloading. Because he took the wrong unloading dock. Finally got dome and left Albertsons @ 7:30 AM. Headed to Arvin, CA (just out of Bakersfield). Got the trailer washed out and refueled the trailer refer, before getting to Grimmway Farms in Arvin @ 12 noon. They loaded the trailer with fresh carrots going to Dallas, TX. Left Grimmway Farms @ 2:15 PM and went to the TA Travel Plaza I-5 exit 219A for the nite. We left the TA @ 1:30 AM on 1 Oct 13. Did a scheduled refuel @ Pilot in Boron, CA. Did 30 minute DOT break @ the Pilot in Lake Havasu City, AZ. We got to the Hopi Travel Plaza on I-40 exit 292 just east of Holbrook, AZ @ 1:25 PM MST. Done for the day.
