On the way home tonight from North Andover I stopped at Tasty Burger to grab a bite - ordered a cheeseburger (onion, lettuce, tomato) with small fries and a drink, to go. Get home and open the box and theres no burger, but instead a fried chicken cutlet, sandwiched between two Eggo waffles, slathered in butter, maple syrup & sausage biscuit gravy, all of which has subsequently been deep fried. I dont even see this on their online menu. This is some clandestine off-menu shit. Nonetheless I ate the damn thing because I had to skip dinner earlier, and now I hate myself for putting that nonsense in my body, Boston for not having any healthy late-night eating options, and America itself for enabling & celebrating such affronts to humanity. Im also none too pleased at the Tasty Burger staffer who packed the order, nor the stoner in front of me in line who requested such an abominable food item. I love a good plate of REAL chicken & waffles, but this thing is making my head go nreerk nreerk nreerk nreerk nreerk now. Late night food in Boston is literally: Tasty Burger, two greasy-ass diners, a handful of places that serve slices of what Ill generously say approximates pizza, and a freakin 24-hour COOKIE SHOP. Good god its brutal.
