On the way to Vassar today to pay respects to a great man, I got a flat tire... After realizing I dont have a jack or a crowbar to remove the tire, I soon realized I was out of cell range... Things werent looking up until Mike and Krystal stopped, and they had a jack. But their tire iron didnt fit my bolts... Verna stops and hers doesnt fit either. *Sigh* next its Betty ... Same story... During this time, a stranger and his daughter had come out of their house and offered me help, but their tools werent right either. After they heard I was on the way to a funeral, he offered me the keys to his huge hemi engine truck... Told me to make sure to Get er up to 130/140, its good for the engine... And for timing... So I took the truck, made it to Vassar for 10:59, paid my respects and got back to their house. The guy had changed my tire and filled it with air. I offered them money, and all they said was Pay it Forward... There are amazing people still in this world... Thanks again to the Mateychucks on the side of the highway... You will forever have a place in my heart!
