On the whole it is amazing of what low quality the Russian counter-propaganda has been over the past 36 hours. Clearly they are stunned by the amount of evidence that has been produced in a short period of time and has made very clear who shot down the Malaysian Airlines jet. Putin couldnt go further than saying that Ukraine is responsible because it was over their territory (so if a meteor strikes Russia he is guilty of that himself? interesting thought!) while most of the stories concentrate on two explanations: - the fantastic idea that the Boeing that was shot down was actually the same as the one that disappeared in March this year, and that in fact that Boeing was transported to Amsterdam full or corpses and then dumped over Ukraine, and that all pilots survived (yes! people actually believe that! can you imagine what propaganda can do to people?) - the idea that the Ukrainians tried to shoot down Putins plane who was on his way from Warsaw to Moscow, but made a mistake. If Putin flies from Warsaw to Moscow over Donetsk he seriously needs to think of taking a different crew and upgrade geography lessons in the country :))) In short, the propaganda media are as stunned as the bandits who shot down a plane two days ago, were rejoicing until they found out that they basically killed not only 300 people but their own future rogue state. Not to mention the image of Vladimir Moammarovich Putin in the eyes of the world.
