On this 9/11 Thursday, 2014, I had the opportunity to go to Gila Bend, AZ for a Memorial service for all the Americans who lost their lives 13 years ago. The Town of Gila Bend, AZ has built a beautiful Memorial to those Americans lost that day, complete with a section of steel from the Twin Towers. What a sight, what an opportunity to touch it! What an honor say a prayer for all who are gone, for the families and friends they left behind and for all of us who are standing on the sidelines remembering that horrific and fateful day. I met many nice members of the Town of Gila Bend community who welcomed me as I was the only outsider to attend. Thank you, Ron and Diane Henry and Fred Hull to name a few, The Town of Gila Bend is planning on adding more features to the Memorial Park as finances allow and I for one, cant wait to see the Memorial Park when it is completed. The cement benches along the walkway to the steel Monument were hand made by the employees of Home Depot who donated them to the 9/11 Memorial Park.
