On this Christmas Eve, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you in this group who have been so kind and supportive to me these past few years. For the longest time I wondered, and perhaps worried, whether my strong sense of nostalgia was normal for my relatively young age. Thanks to all of you, I realize I am not alone and that we all have a healthy dose of love and admiration for this area where we grew up. We enjoy remembering the past, but also look forward to the future. For me, that future will include more postings on this site in 2015, and heavy involvement with the Overland Park Historical Society as I assume the role of Vice President starting next week. I hope that I will have the opportunity to actually meet several of you this next year, and would strongly encourage you to consider joining OPHS. Have a Merry and Blessed Christmas!
