On this Day I am Giving Thanks I give thanks for family, friends and all the elders who have come into my life ~ you/they are my shining light ~ I give thanks for our true treasures in this life our songs, dances, languages, ceremonies and our Children. Today there are many who will be hungry and cold ~ many who will feel alone and lost. We live in a $ based world ~ BUT IT IS AN ILLUSION ~ yes we need $ to help now but we need to unlearn this $ mentality and RE-learn Enoughness ~ once I have enough for my basic NEEDS the rest we can share ~ I know I have been doing it for almost 20 years now ~ WE MUST REMEMBER we are spiritual beings here living in this illusion world to BECOME better spiritual beings. Our Children in this physical world we need MORE than the food, cloths, shelter,and heat ~ THEY NEED TO KNOW THEY HAVE VALUE TO OTHERS ~ they need to feel they are loved. If you just throw your $ and extra cloths and blankets their way it helps them feel that others SEE THEM ~ VALUE THEM ~ BUT if that is all you give you are shorting yourself and them. ~ Start reaching out with your heart ~ return to the loving and caring or each other within your family and community ~ return to living and FEELING the way of ENOUGHNESS! Giving thanks for Nurture The Children and all it has given me over the years ~ for all the children it has brought into my heart and life ~ giving much thanks that many now are strong Warrior men and women ~ strong Sundancers and ceremony people.
