On this October 7th day of 2013 I lost someone who was a very big part of my life. I will never make a pot of chicken and dumplings or beef vegetable soup without thinking of her. She taught me how to cook, can vegetables, make pies and preserves. She agreed with me, yelled at me, fought with me and taught me and I loved her with all my heart. I may not have been able to be around her a lot but got to see her back in April and spent some quality time with her. My heart goes out to my family and friends and I feel the loss deeply. I will and have passed down her recipes and cherish my quilts. Your life has touched all our lives and your memory will hold a special place deep inside me and I will never forget you.
