On this brand new first day of the year 2015, I woke up with a feeling of gratefulness that we have a new year to enter into, to make a difference somewhere...in someones life, in our country, in our families, lives, communities and work environment. We have a new opportunity to think differently about what we can and want to do in order to better our and others circumstances. I was reminded of the fact that God made many promises everywhere in the Bible, but that all of those promises are accompanied by a condition..an if. He says in many places in the Bible that He will bless us IF we believe in Him...that He will be with us, help us, support us, save us, show us Grace, heal us, IF we trust Him, believe in Him, accept Him, pray to Him, ask him...So, I made this one decision: I will start praying for the people in power in our country to open up their hearts and minds to God, His Son and His Holy Spirit. If we all pray for the president and government in our country to give their hearts to God, surely a change must come? So, in stead of feeling angry, helpless, hopeless, despondent, afraid, enraged and bitter towards the people in charge of our beautiful country (the Zumas, Malemas etc.), in stead of criticizing, condemning, putting down and hating the powers that be, maybe we should start praying for them in all earnest: that they will acknowledge God and give Him the power and glory. Let us pray HOPE back into our country by praying God into our leaders. May this 1st day of 2015 be the beginning of endless blessings for each of its inhabitants, for each of your family members, loved ones and friends. Enjoy this day safely and responsibly. Have a great 01.01.2015 wherever you are.
