On this date 13 years ago I was on a training operation in Japan. One of my fellow Marines came and woke me up in the middle of the night and told me Sgt. Flora, someone attacked America. My heart immediately sunk. Being thousands of miles away watching the news and find out one of the planes went down in somerset county it really literally hit home. Several years later when these tapes were released and I got to listen to it, I cant even begin to describe the heart sunk feeling I felt all over again. I listen to it every year from beginning to end just to remind myself that there is and will always be people in this world that hate the united states just because its by far the best country in the world. Never forget! My deepest sympathies go out to everyone that lost someone on that horrible day. God, please protect our current military and first responders!
