On this date in 1937, a Bingo party held by the Dodgingtown Fire Department in their firehouse proved quite successful, so much so that it was been decided to hold parties each Friday evening for the next few weeks. Proceeds would help pay for the companys new equipment. Just lately, The Bee reported, Chief Gower and his men have been able to purchase some new 2½-inch hose from the Fabric Hose Company.
