On this day, 18th of August many years ago, a baby girl was born and she was named Ure.....what a name. In that name lies sweetness, beauty, glory and prestige, another Ibo word that means same is nganga or Ngala, In pidgin English, it comes across as Inyanga. Has she been an expression of her name? Absolutely, she takes on her world passionately and fearlessly, she loves and enjoys being loved in return. She converts hate and criticism to wings and soars on them, like the eagle she soars higher in the storm. She makes lemonades from lemons, always has a smile and always goes the extra mile. Shes alive and real, she cannot live a lie, shes true to herself, to her heart and to her dreams. She doesnt care about making mistakes, she often does. When she sees a mountain, she climbs, even if she doesnt get to the top of the mountain, she enjoys the climb. In climbing she may fall many times but she often laughs at the falls, dusts herself and off she goes. Shes alive, she apologizes even when shes right because she loves peace, she can easily be deceived because shes too trusting but she continues to trust anyway. Shes far from being perfect but she loves her imperfect self perfectly. Today is her birthday and shes so eager to continue this beautiful journey called life on planet earth. God is her strength and because she constantly waits on him, her strength is always renewed. Jesus is her saviour and her friend. Queen Ure Okezie, happy birthday! I love you to bits. Yes today is my birthday, join me to say thank you to God for yet another year, thanks to everyone for being part of my life. I love you all. - Queen Ure.
