On this day, 2001, as the horrific events unfolded, I rushed to my fathers side, lost, confused, and unsure of what to do with myself and my business... My fathers advise? Dont open your store today. Stay close to me, so that I know youll be safe. Well spend the day together. I dont want anything to happen to you. Youll be safe here, with me, until Dutch gets home. I spent the better part of that day with daddy. Drinking coffee, watching the news, and crying. Up until daddy went into hospice, he worried, every single day, that something very bad was going to happen again. He loved everyone around him and worried enough for the whole world.
