On this day 28 years ago, Oct. 18th 1985 my best friend in the whole wide world was born in Dallas Texas at 7:32pm. He weighed 8lbs.4 ounces and I watched him be delivered. After they got him cleaned up and put in his mothers arms I went and looked him straight in his eyes with tears of joy in mine. I smiled and said hello son. Believe it or not, this new born baby boy made eye contact with me and smiled back and squeezed my finger. It was unreal but very real. At that moment I knew my life was no longer about me. It was about him. I knew I could never love anyone or thing more ever. Since then our lives have had many bumps and detours in the road but we have stuck together made it thus far and will continue to do so. He has made me so proud and been a great great great son rising above and beyond in any life challenges he has faced. That baby boy is now a man and grows a beard as thick as mine and has a heart of gold and does good for others as a career. He has NEVER done me wrong in any way. I still love him like I did on day one of his life. My only regret is my inability to make my father as proud of me as I am of my son That baby boy is now the man who you know as Scott Sadler and I want to wish him a very happy birthday and let him know that he is the fiber that has held my sanity together and is still the reason I still march on.
