On this day 32 years ago my mom, stepdad, brother, sister and I embarked on a journey that would forever change our lives...We boarded Guyana Airways at 0800 for a 5+ hr. trip to the United States of America. Its incredible how coming to America instantly changed my perspective on many things. I actually began to see the broader picture on what is termed Life and is my constant mantra to my son Life Happens. It seemed as if this journey was only made yesterday, however, 32-years is indeed a lifetime. There have been many highs - getting married, the birth of my children, graduating from college and nursing school, becoming a home-owner, travelling, meeting old and making new friends, among other things. There have been lows - getting divorced tops this list. My family and I have been privileged these past 32-years to live the so-call American dream, even though tough at times, we are and will continue to be a strong force to be reckoned with. Happy 32-nd birthday to my Mommy, Bryan and Tasha, as I watch my nieces and nephews grow, without a doubt our bloodline continues strong into the future.
