On this day December 1st, 2008 - WWE Raw: Batista vs Dolph Ziggler. Weve seen in the past that there have been many different ways that stars have been introduced on wrestling television. Some have been great ways to do it, whether it be hype videos like the ones of Mr. Perfect showing off his ability in sport to prove that he truly was Perfect, or even just showing up to attack like the Shield. While some havent been good, like the #August1Warning debut of Tito Ortiz in TNA. Yet, in 2008, one man just went the easy way...and literally went around introducing himself. On the 15th September 2008 episode of WWE Raw, a backstage segment between the Raw General Manager, Mike Adamle and WWE Diva Kelly Kelly was interrupted by a young, blond man who put his hand out for a handshake, before politely introducing himself as being Dolph Ziggler...then walking off. Following weeks would see him introduce himself to fellow wrestlers, and even Shane McMahon, before a brief absence from WWE TV. A month later, Ziggler would be back on TV, where his first appearance back would show that he no longer needed to introduce himself, because Shawn Michaels beat him to the punch by saying hey, youre Dolph Ziggler!. While Ziggler would appear at ringside to perform the role of a Lumberjack during Randy Orton vs CM Punk, he hadnt actually made an in-ring appearance on WWE Television, and fans were wondering when that would happen, and how his in-ring debut would go... On December 1st, 2008, WWE Raw eminated from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., where Dolph Ziggler finally made his in-ring debut.
