On this day (June 25th), in 2009, we lost (indisputably) one of the greatest musicians our world has ever seen-- Michael Jackson. Creator of Thriller, the Best Selling Album of All Time, it would be an injustice to write a complete discography of his work, as it could not suffice to explain the expansiveness of his influence on our music industry, nationally and globally. Jackson is remembered as a brilliant singer-songwriter, actor, dancer, philanthropist, and businessman. Known as the King of Pop, he contributed to pop culture and fashion for over four decades of his short lifespan. The trials and tribulations that clouded MJs life added to his mystique and fueled much of his personal battles in the media, but could never completely overshadow his accomplishments. Today, we celebrate the life, the talent, and the memory of over 45 years of entertainment, pure artistry and dedication. Rest In Peace.
