On this day (Oct 19) in 1988 blues singer Son House passed away...In an interview in 1965 Son said he met Robert Johnson who played terribly. Son said he met Robert 6 mos. later and his playng was fantastic [ in actuality Son probably didnt meet Robert again for at least 18-24 mos.]. When the interview was reprinted the following year the magazine added the statement which it said was made by Son House that Robert had sold his soul to the Devil.
