On this day, an occasion of celebration and thanks giving. I thank God for blessing my nana, Sala Meipo Haueia with 70 incredible years of life. Academically gifted. She kick started her working career as an Assistant Clerk for Western Samoa Trust Estates Corporation, then lead into other careers such as a radio announcer for 2AB, translater/interpreter for the Legislative Department and Administrative Associate Director for US Peace Corps (Samoa based). I am humbled by her success in the office but its not only her achievements as a business women that makes me proud but more so her profession as the best and greatest nana. Rightfully to say, my siblings and I have been immensely blessed and grateful to have been brought up in a family home with the presence of my grandparents every day of our lives. We share the most precious bond, that can only be felt and expressed by us alone. Up until the time they journeyed back to Samoa, their teachings, values and morals are imbedded into who I am. She has offered me more then just love but all the sweet in betweens. My nana is a friend, a best-friend, comforter, advisor, provider, teacher, nurse, chef, my very own ATM lol and the list goes on.. I simply could not imagine life without her. A women who loves like no other, lives in fear of God and strives to become greater then who she was yesterday. I wish to have spent today by your side but I pray that God willing, I will next year & for many more years to come. I know youre proud of me and I hope to continue doing so. Looking forward to the day you hang up your working boots and let me take care of you, like you have done so for me. THANK YOU! HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY! I LOVE YOU NANABEAR! ❤️xoxo❤️
