On this day in 1826 John Adams & Thomas Jefferson died. It was 50 years to the day that the Declaration of Independence was adopted. Thomas Jefferson first draft would emancipated the slaves but Franklin and Adams made him change it. Jefferson agreed as long as " All man are created equal" was not taken out of the Declaration. Adams knew Jefferson & Washington was great men for fighting tyranny, we need more good men just like them.
