On this day in 1962: Judy was at the Carlyle Hotel in New York, where she signed a contract for her return to movies in a supporting role in Judgment at Nuremberg for which she received $50,000. At the press conference, Judy mentioned The Lonely Stage (it became I Could Go On Singing - her final film), and she also said she wanted to do The Unsinkable Molly Brown in London. Also at this time, she was reportedly working on a screenplay for a movie musical with Abby Mann, and had talked to Richard Rogers about writing the music. This project never materialized. #judygarland #judgmentatnuremberg
