On this day in history: A campaign to register African American - TopicsExpress

On this day in history: A campaign to register African American voters was launched during the Civil Rights Movement at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham by Martin Luther King, Ralph David Abernathy, and Fred Shutterworth. On September 15, 1963, the church was bombed killing four girls, who were attending Sunday school classes. The fight for the freedom to vote cost them their lives. Do not forget their sacrifice; do not accept the present day attacks to deny anyone the right to vote. Honor them and all who fought and gave their life - get out and vote!
