On this day nine years ago I lost my everything. This woman who oozed grace, class and sophistication. When she walk in a room everyone noticed. Her head stayed high and her smile stayed bright...even with all the troubles on her back. I celebrate my mother everyday, but today is a little different. Today I reflect upon what she gave to so many others and the impact she had on their lives. Someone asked me, What influenced you Ari to give so much to the youth? The answer is this Woman right here! She impacted so many lives. From the youth/teens she worked with in the schools to my family, friends and her community. Im just simply carrying out her legacy. Rest in paradise Mama. I know youre up there cooking up that good food for everybody, toppin it off with a glass pitcher of red Kool-Aid with the sliced lemons and oranges inside. Thats right!
