On this day, on 7 December 1941, 73 years ago, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked by Japanese forces. Let us pause today to remember the lives of the many that were lost that day. My cover photo is an actual picture that was taken in Pearl Harbor on that dreadful morning. During my tour of duty in the United States Navy, I visited Pearl Harbor, Hawaii numerous times. I have also visited the Arizona Memorial and other historic sites where the bombing took place. I was also blessed to visit ground zero in Nagasaki and Hiroshima Japan. All of this was a tragedy for both countries. A solemn reminder that freedom is not free.
