On this day one year ago, I received a text from my Daddy, it said, Im going home! He did just that 4 days later. He went to his heavenly home with 20 of his closest family members at his side. He fought the good fight and didnt give up easily! He fought it until his last breath, as he said he would. I was given the gift to be able to day good-bye to the strongest and sweetest man Id ever known! I thought that would be the hardest day of my life. I was wrong, it has been many days after that Ive longed for his knowledge, his smile, his advice, his voice, and his big burly laugh! My daddy was suppose to live forever! Most of my favorite memories with daddy were not made at Disney World or on some fantsy vacation, but riding down the road laughing together, or sitting in a tree stand together, or just simply listening to him! 2 days before he died, he and I had the best conversation about lifeand I will forever be grateful for that night! I cant wait to sit by his side again and just talk! Never take one day or even one conversation for granted, for it may be your last!
