On this day three years ago, I gave a speech at one of the inaugural #Occupy rallies, proposing they adopt Open-Source and Decentralization as their message and mandate, and proffering Open Monetary Systems as the fundamental component underpinning this revolutionary new idea. It would have been quite interesting if the hundreds of thousands initially involved in the greater Occupy movement had come to embrace this radical new vision of the future, instead of giving way to a vocal minority who preferred to champion the standard us vs. them divisive revolutionary rhetoric. But despite all the detractors and disbelievers, in the three years since, Open Monetary Systems and the greater Decentralization movement have been rapidly gaining ground. The clarion call of Decentralize All The Things! is finally achieving widespread resonance and its looking more and more as though the future will, indeed, Not Be Centralized. As the gentlemans sign at 14:15 states, A Better World Is Possible. But without a revolution that is 100% inclusive and 100% Of The People, By The People, For The People, I dont believe that a better world is truly attainable. At least not in the long term. Ive never wavered in my belief that the Decentralization movements ability to apolitically accept all of humanity into its ranks is the core from which this non-violent, leaderless movement truly derives its power. Its an all-inclusive ACCEPTANCE movement, rather than any sort of divisive political RESISTANCE. Hopefully the next iteration(s) of the Occupy movement will finally recognize and embrace this truly revolutionary ideal. Were all in this together. And together we can succeed. We are the 100%. #Bitcoin #Dogecoin #OpenSource #Decentralization
