On this day we do not glorify war, but we stand thankful. Thankful that we live in a time, and in a country, where we will not be involuntarily conscripted. Thankful that we will not be forced to the other side of the world to defend what others believe is right. Thankful for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice or watched their mates give the same, so that we can sleep at night without the threats that some of the world live with to this day. It’s a small gesture for those who have been through and given so much, but on this ANZAC day, LEST WE FORGET.
