On this evening (12/1) in 1966 ABC aired Episode #86: “Sam’s Spooky Chair.” Excerpt from THE BEWITCHED HISTORY BOOK (now 20% off at bearmanormedia with code BM13Thanks): I really like this one and would give it three stars. This episode is one of my favorites as the storyline really is kind of weird what with a haunted chair walking around and nobody knows who or what it is. I do have to say, though, that Clyde seems to be one of the wimpiest warlocks ever to want to be in Samantha’s good graces. After the studly George, it’s no wonder Samantha didn’t want to give Clyde the time of day. It’s odd because that same actor appears on I Dream of Jeannie later as an ice cream shoppe worker who talks to Dr. Bellows and he’s much more animated. I really like that green and yellow dress and the blue sparkly dress Samantha was wearing at dinner was pretty though I don’t like it when she has her hair up like that. She’s had it like that in “Mother Meets What’s-His-Name” and “It Shouldn’t Happen to a Dog.”
