On this very day 12 years ago I lost my father Harry Vogel sr. Losing a family member is the hardest thing in life to deal with or over come. It took me a long time to make peace with the situation. It happened after my worst worlds performance in 2002, right after I returned home. I took a long break from skating, prob the best years of my life as an athlete was spent working on overcoming this tragedy. I am now in a great place Im my life now, I couldnt be any happier and I know thats what my dad would have wanted for me. Im glad he got the chance to see me become the best in the world at something on my very own. Im very appreciative of that. So my advice is talk to your family as often as possible.
