On this wall Sule Alhaji writes:- Tim>Thats a good one.You reminded me of an episode in which I was appointed as Best Man in a friends weeding in a church those days.As a Muslim,that was my first time of being in church for such an occation.The relationship with my christian friend was excellent and generally cordial to extent that he appointed me as Best Man during his weeding. The Pastor quoted some verses from the Holy Bible in Hausa and warned my friend in Hausa language that,Babu ruwanka da wata mace sai matan ka Rose. I quickly looked at my friend and said,Toh kaji,babu ruwanka da neman mata,ka kulle kayanka. The Zumunta singers appreciated my remarks and produced some kind of music in appreciation to my remarks.The Pastor also smiled at me in appreciation. During Ramadan period, my Christain friend used to visit my house and break the fast me with me.We never talk of religion or some kind of division.My friend passed away some years back following a brief illness.I periodically travel to his village and exchange greetings with his closed ones.His mother passed away recently,the problem of insecurity has prevented to visit and condole his loved ones. The good old days. Now with hatred in place,visiting a church to attend a weeding by a Muslim is impossible.I pray things will normalize soon.
