On today’s Audubon Wednesday Morning bird walk at Trustom Pond - TopicsExpress

On today’s Audubon Wednesday Morning bird walk at Trustom Pond Wildlife Refuge we saw a number of nice birds. There was very little open water so the ducks were packed in tightly so view was a bit difficult as the birds swam in tight clusters. But we were able to pick out 1 Redhead 1 Canvasback Greater Scaup American Wigeon 1 Eurasian Wigeon at least 9 Northern Pintail Gadwall Mallards Black Ducks Hooded Mergansers, American Coot Canada Geese Mute Swans Bald Eagle that picked up a dead duck Golden-crowned Kinglet right up close at the observation platform. At the feeders were many of the usual suspects as well as Tree Sparrows and a Fox Sparrow. It was a great day and nice way to add to your Big Year. Click Here to start your Big Year: bigyearri.org
